I'll overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.

Former two time world boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
