In November 2018, Steve Bannon, formerly Donald Trump's chief strategist, visited the UK to deliver a speech at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The speech was interrupted by numerous protesters, and Bannon, who was due to board a flight that night, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an email: "Protesters slowed down speech I doubt I can make the flight we are heading to the airport".

Epstein responded: "There. Is a gulf air that leaves at 950 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "You are an excellent assistant".

These messages were published on Wednesday alongside over 20,000 documents from the records of Epstein, the late convicted sex offender.

The disclosure by the House oversight committee includes an iMessage chat where Bannon's identity is withheld. Media outlets has been able to establish his involvement by cross-referencing the dates, occurrences, and locations referenced.

For instance, Epstein discusses arranging a plane from Scotland for the unnamed individual in the messages, and commends their "Oxford speech". Bannon participated in the Edinburgh conference on November 14, and gave the talk at the Oxford Union on November 16.

Bannon, who is not accused of any misconduct, declined to comment on the inquiry.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon was one of Trump's closest aides in the run up to the 2016 election and in the early days of his first administration, but resigned from the White House in August 2017.

He has acknowledged he was producing a documentary about Epstein prior to his passing and allegedly has approximately 15 hours of footage. In a live taping of his show recently, he said: "We plan to publish the film, the five-part series, next year - early next year."

But the newly released documents indicate Bannon's relationship with Epstein went further than being his biographer, with the convicted paedophile occasionally appearing to serve like a aide.

A few days prior to the conversation in which Epstein appeared to have booked a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein remarked: "what's it like to have the highest-paid booking agent in the world ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "U r pretty good assistant", to which Epstein responded "Therapies. Excluded".

Discussing a trip to "Abu Dhabi" in a separate text, Epstein assured Bannon: "I'll make sure you're taken care of."

British Affairs Mentioned in Exchanges

The released messages also reveal Bannon and Epstein discussing British political matters in that year.

Earlier on the same day his speech at the Oxford Union, Bannon texted Epstein: "I've gotten pulled into the Brexit issue this day with Farage, Boris and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a allusion to Theresa May, the struggling British leader at the time, he continued: "They are attempting to move on. May soon…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "I think remaining as long as you can uk. Ideal- so people get the commitment of your follow-up."

Shortly after, Epstein inquired: "Can Theresa may remain in power". Bannon replied: "It seems unlikely however the guys over here have little courage" and noted "Johnson ; Michael Gove; Rees Mogg; Davis - someone has to step up".

Theresa May was finally removed in May 2019 after withstanding multiple attempts of no confidence in late 2018.

A representative for the political party informed media: "Nigel Farage has never been in a meeting with Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Johnson." And there is no evidence such a meeting took place.

The US House of Representatives will vote next week on whether the justice department should release all its records related to its investigation into Epstein, who died in jail in that year.

Attention in Epstein's relationships with influential individuals was reignited recently after the publication of more than 20,000 documents from his estate.

Some of those referenced the former president, who has repeatedly denied any impropriety. The leader was a friend of Epstein's for years, but claims they fell out in the 2000s, two years prior to Epstein was initially charged.
